Oceania Cruises has announced a new collaboration with the American Cancer Society, which will bring the ACS Relay For Life to the high seas with the Relay For Life at Sea program. Guests, crew, and team members will be able to participate, raising vital funds for cancer research, patient support services, and advocacy efforts.

The program has just launched aboard Vista and Insignia, the latter of which is currently sailing the end of her 180-day Around The World Cruise. The new onboard program and friendly competition will debut across the fleet in the coming months, with the goal of raising $150,000 for ACS by the end of the year.

Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises. “This initiative reflects Oceania Cruises’ commitment not only to delivering exceptional travel experiences but also to making a positive impact in the communities we touch, consistently aiming to foster a spirit of unity. We look forward to seeing not only our guests, but our officers and team members, come together to celebrate survivors, honor those we’ve lost, and contribute to the fight against cancer.”

With the same spirit that inspired the original Relay For Life event in 1985, participating guests will take to the ship’s fitness track to compete in a competition to walk as many laps as possible. Current and future guests are encouraged to register for Relay For Life at Sea by visiting cancer.org/relayforlifeatsea or by scanning the QR code in Oceania’s onboard newsletter, Currents. A minimum donation of $25 is required for participation.

Oceania Cruises newest upcoming ship, Allura, has marked a major construction milestone. The 1,200-guest vessel was just floated out at the Fincantieri shipyard in Sestri Ponente, Italy.

During a float out, the dry dock is flooded as the ship touches water for the first time. It is then floated out of the dry dock and moved to a fitting-out berth where interior work is done.

Allura was blessed by the shipyard’s chaplain, Father Stefano, in a low-key ceremony in deference to the recent passing of General Claudio Graziano, Chairman of Fincantieri. The shipyard’s Madrina, Caterina Romeo — a designer in Fincantieri’s technical department — christened the ship as is traditional, endowing blessings upon the vessel and all who sail upon her.

Allura is now entering the final stages of construction, which will focus on the suites, lounges, and restaurants, all embodying Oceania’s commitment to culinary excellence and destination immersion.

The ship is scheduled to officially enter service from Trieste, Italy on July 18, 2025 on a six-day cruise to Athens, Greece. Following a summer season in the Mediterranean, Allura will sail to Canada and New England for a series of voyages before her first winter season in the Caribbean, homeporting in Miami.

Allura is the eighth ship in the Oceania Cruises fleet and the second Allura class ship. She follows her sister ship, Vista, which launched in May 2023.

Oceania Cruises has announced its 2025 Polynesia schedule, taking travelers to discover off-the-beaten-path islands from the comfort of its small, luxury ships.

The 2025 season in the South Pacific will be Oceania’s most expansive to date, with Nautica and Regatta traversing the region during the winter and summer seasons. Both seasons’ unique itineraries have been designed to create a memorable and immersive experience for well-traveled guests. Regatta and Nautica are well suited for the region, featuring more balcony staterooms and more free specialty dining options than any other ship regularly based in Tahiti.

“Our 2025 collection of itineraries spanning Polynesia offers guests the opportunity to discover the astounding nature, rich culinary heritage and deep-rooted cultural traditions of the South Pacific,” commented Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises. “With only 670 guests on board our ultra-premium ships, there is no doubt that traveling through Polynesia with Oceania Cruises is by far the most relaxing and carefree way to experience the most relaxing and carefree place in the world.”

At the heart of the season are 10-day roundtrip Papeete sailings. Wildlife-loving guests can look out for the abundance of marine life that frequent the turquoise waters around the islands, including spinner dolphins, whales, and stingrays. The region plays host to a spectacular number of ancient archaeological sites, rugged mountains adorned with wild hibiscus, and colorful ginger flowers. After a day exploring the untouched natural wonders of Polynesia, guests can sit and watch some of the most stunning sunsets in the world from the deck.

The diverse selection of itineraries includes the must-sees in French Polynesia such as Papeete, Nuku Hiva, and a number of overnight stays in Bora Bora.

Only-in-Polynesia adventures that passengers will be able to take part in include tours of vanilla and black pearl farms, picturesque lagoon cruises, and motu island picnics. Oceania Cruises’ extensive range of curated shore excursions allows guests to discover the islands for themselves, absorbing the unspoiled, natural beauty that these islands radiate alongside the region’s unique cultural traditions.

Oceania is also offering a variety of longer voyages, which allows guests to explore Polynesia after visiting Hawaii or New Zealand. There’s also World Voyages of up to 111 days long, ending in Singapore, Cape Town, or Barcelona.

Oceania Cruises Shore Excursion Highlights

Oceania Cruises has partnered with Condé Nast Traveler to bring an exclusive collection of itineraries picked by the magazine’s dedicated editors. Four of the line’s Polynesia itineraries are included among the 23 Condé Nast Traveler branded itineraries, featuring editorial insights and unique tips in featured ports of call.

Additional shore excursion highlights include:

Aito Off-Road Safari

Traveling off-road in a four-wheel drive, soak up the exquisite beauty of Moorea, exploring the verdant mountains, deep valleys and white-sand beaches, stopping at a sacred ancient marae and learning about the pineapple crop on the way.

Vanilla Flavor & Taha’a Motu Picnic

Cruise to the island of Taha’a from Raiatea – source of 70% of the vanilla grown in French Polynesia – to explore an intoxicatingly fragrant vanilla plantation and visit a tiny islet for a Polynesian picnic lunch and some beach time.

Sail Bora Bora by Catamaran

Discover Bora Bora’s famously gorgeous lagoon by catamaran, comfortably watching the views of the magnificent extinct volcanoes and spotting colorful tropical fish above the crystalline reef.

Discover Tahiti’s West Coast

From the Robert Wan Pearl Museum and Marche de Papeete to the tranquil Jardins Paofai, observe the surfers on their longboards alongside natural treasures like the thundering Faarumai Waterfalls, Arahoho Blowhole, and the Maraa Fern Grottos, home to the largest underwater cave in Tahiti.

Shark and Stingray Snorkel Safari in Bora Bora

Explore Bora Bora’s turquoise, unspoiled lagoon via boat before slipping into the gin-clear waters to discover the ancient crater rim of Moti To’opua, gliding alongside the island’s graceful stingrays and parrotfish.

Oceania Cruises has announced new food offerings on its eight small ships. New sushi and Indian cuisine will be available at Terrace Café, and a revamped poolside lunch menu at Waves Grill are in the spotlight as the line redefines what it calls ‘The Finest Cuisine at Sea.’

“Food is the foundation of what we do on board each of our ships, and globally, in the destinations we visit. We are renowned for serving The Finest Cuisine at Sea, as it is at the very core of our business,” said Frank A. Del Rio, president of Oceania Cruises. “This does not always mean a white linen tablecloth and starched napkins at one of our award-winning specialty restaurants – finest does not always mean the fanciest. It’s also a perfectly prepared pizza or an enticing burrata dish enjoyed al fresco with a crisp glass of white wine as you set sail.”

With the addition of a daily sushi station as well as the Indian Corner in Terrace Café, the venue’s array of international cuisines expands even further. The large sushi station boasts 45 new recipes created by newly-appointed Executive Culinary Directors Chef Alex Quaretti and Chef Eric Barale, along with their talented team. These include two types of sashimi per day, two types of uramaki, three kinds of nigiri, and a daily vegetarian option.

The new Indian Corner operates once every cruise during dinner and features 15 authentic Indian recipes.

“Our staff hails from every corner of the globe and being able to bring their knowledge and their experience to the table, literally, is a wonderful thing,” said Chef Alex. “Creating the new Indian dishes for Terrace Café is a perfect example of this; some of these recipes have been handed down through generations. It’s a privilege to be able to see them through a new lens and to bring them to new audiences. The butter chicken and the dhal are already proving to be popular choices with our guests.”

Waves Grill, Ocean’s casual poolside lunch venue, allows guests to experience the culinary reputation of Oceania without leaving their lounge chairs. The menu has been revamped — offering new favorites to sample alongside well-loved signature dishes.

The menu now includes over 20 revised options, including a new selection of cold sandwiches, plus hot sandwiches and burgers. These include the signature Surf & Turf Wagyu burger — a wagyu beef patty with lobster medallions and truffle mayonnaise; and a new Philly Cheesesteak hot sandwich comprising shredded sirloin steak, provolone, sautéed onion, bell peppers and mushrooms. All are now served with a choice of French fries or sweet potato fries.

The line’s specialty restaurants have not been forgotten, either. Chefs Alex and Eric and their team are taking a thorough review of all menus across all ships, and will have more surprises to share before the end of the year.

“We have so much going on ahead of the launch of Allura in just over a year. But there are exciting plans afoot for all our ships,” said Chef Alex. “We have new dishes to unveil in Red Ginger, our signature pan-Asian venue; there will be an expansion of Oceania Cruises’ exclusive wine pairing luncheon options; and a fresh look at the menus for the grande dame of the line’s dining venues, The Grand Dining Room.”

Oceania Cruises’ ship Marina is back in service after undergoing a large renovation. The 1,250-guest ship now features three new dining options: Aquamar Kitchen, a new al fresco Pizzeria, and a poolside ice cream parlor.

It’s the latest vessel in the Oceania Cruises fleet to be refurbished, meaning the line now boasts eight new or better-than-new ships. Its eighth ship, Allura, is set to sail in July 2025.

“Marina is the first – the original – ship designed by foodies, built by foodies, for foodies,” said Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises. “We are renowned for serving The Finest Cuisine at Sea, and this is not just a tagline, it is a mantra which we have built the business around. Food is the foundation of what we do on board each of our ships, and globally, in the destinations we visit.”

“The addition of these three relaxed, yet refined, eateries to Marina is the perfect way to spotlight that The Finest Cuisine at Sea does not always mean a white linen tablecloth and starched napkins at one of our award-winning specialty restaurants. It’s also a perfectly prepared pizza, accompanied by a chilled glass of white wine enjoyed on deck, as you set sail with a warm breeze around your shoulders; or a decadent poolside ice cream or flavorful smoothie as you relax on your sun lounger.”

Oceania’s newly appointed Executive Culinary Directors, Chefs Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale, and their talented team are taking a fresh look at menus across all venues on all ships.

“The introduction of these three wonderful culinary venues on board Marina is just the start of an exciting new taste journey for Oceania Cruises,” said Chef Alex. “Of course, there is an incredible amount of work going on to prepare for the arrival of Allura next summer, but we have so much going on aboard all our beautiful ships. Eric and I are looking at every menu and every dish we serve, as you’ll see with the return of Marina.”

New Restaurants on Oceania Cruises Marina

Aquamar Kitchen, a new signature restaurant that debuted on Vista, presents wellness-inspired menus sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate. At breakfast, the smoothies, cold-pressed juices and energy bowls shine. During lunchtime, guests can enjoy avocado toast selections and globally-inspired salads and wraps. Heartier options include an Impossible burger, yellowfin tuna tacos, and a crunchy chicken sandwich among several others.

The beverage menu features a selection of premium non-alcoholic wines, Pierre Zero from France, as well as a refreshing collection of mocktails crafted with Lyre’s non-alcoholic spirits. Aquamar Kitchen is open for breakfast and lunch and does not require reservations, and — as with all other onboard restaurants — is complimentary for guests.

In the evening, Waves Grill transforms into an al fresco Pizzeria featuring fresh pizzas, grilled Italian specialties, salads, rosemary focaccia with burrata and desserts including a Nutella pizza.

An all-day ice cream parlor has been added to the pool deck. The new addition is filled with favorite flavors including options from artisan ice cream company Humphry Slocombe, plus milkshakes and smoothies.

Refreshed Spaces on Oceania Cruises Marina

The 124 Penthouse Suites on board have a complete refresh, with custom-crafted furniture as well as new closets and cabinetry to increase guest storage space. There’s also new carpets and upholstery, updated modern lighting, and thoughtful details such as more outlets and USB ports. Each Penthouse Suite also has a sleek restyled bathroom with distinctive Italian marble throughout, abundant drawer space, and generous oversized showers.

Favorite public spaces including Martinis, Horizons, The Grand Dining Room, and the Library have been updated with new carpets and refreshed upholstery. Specialty steakhouse Polo Grill boasts a fresh new look with new carpeting, stylish window treatments, and sleek pillowed-leather dining chairs.

Due to the addition of Aquamar Kitchen, Oceania Cruises’ signature pairing dinners featured in La Reserve will now be showcased in Privée, Marina‘s glamorous and exclusive private dining venue.
